2023 World Series of Darts Finals Draw Confirmed As Dutch Duo Go Head To Head.

The draw and schedule for this weekend’s Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals has been made, and Dutch competitors Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode will face off in the first round.

From September 15 to 17, the World Series of Darts Finals, a 24-player competition, will be held at AFAS Live in Amsterdam for the fourth time.

2019 finalist Noppert and 2018 runner-up Van Duijvenbode will compete in the £300,000 event’s draw, which was set by PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter, on Friday night.

Although they will now compete against one another for the chance to face World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall in the second round, the two previously represented the Netherlands together at the World Cup of Darts in June.

First-round action on Friday will also include Dutch star Raymond van Barneveld, who will face US Darts Masters runner-up Jeff Smith on his return to his native country as a five-time World Champion.

While four-time champion Michael van Gerwen begins his challenge in front of his home audience against German number one Gabriel Clemens or Ireland’s William O’Connor, the winner will face World Champion Michael Smith in round two.

The 2021 champion Jonny Clayton will play World Cup semifinalist Martin Schindler in what is perhaps the match of the first round. The winner will face top seed Rob Cross in a matchup.

Current champion Gerwyn Price will face either Australian mainstay Simon Whitlock or Keegan Brown, who triumphed in last week’s Tour Card Holder Qualifier, to begin his championship defence.

Krzysztof Ratajski of Poland will play Daniel Klose of Germany, who just won his second European Tour championship in Jena. Luke Humphries will be waiting for the winner to go to the last eight.

In an effort to get back to victory on the big stage, two-time finalist Peter Wright will compete against Haupai Puha of New Zealand or Graham Usher, who is making his World Series debut.

The second-round opponent for fifth seed Dimitri Van den Bergh will either be former World Youth Championship finalist Ricky Evans or Australian number one Damon Heta.

On Friday, September 15, the first round of the competition begins. On Saturday, September 16, the eight players with the highest World Series Order of Merit rankings will compete.
