9 dart hero Luke Littler Wins 2024 BetMGM Premier League Title

Luke wins the 2024 BetMGM Premier League title in a close fought final against Luke Humphries at the O2 Arena, resulting in a 11-7 scoreline.

The 17-year-old has achieved great success in his debut campaign, finishing top of the group phase and has earned four Nightly wins in Belfast, Manchester, Liverpool and Aberdeen. Littler picks up £315k in prize winnings after earning bonuses.

Humphries himself has won four Nightly wins himself in Brighton, Nottingham, Dublin and Leeds. During Week 6-8 he secured three Nightly wins on the trot before winning in front of a crowd of the city of his football club later on in the season.

The encounter comes after almost six months on from their 2024 World Championship final matchup, as both players defeated Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen to a 10-5 scoreline.

Nothing could separate the pair in the opening six legs with the scoreline level at 3-3, with both players appearing slightly nervy.

The nerves disintegrated when Humphries checked out 116 in the midst of both players holding throw to make it 5-5 at the interval.

Littler held throw right from the get go in the second phase of the game with a stunning nine dart finish to lead once more, raising the roof off the O2 Arena in front of 14,000 people.

He followed it up with the all important break of throw to establish a two leg advantage.

Littler raced away to the finish line to end up victorious, but Humphries didn’t give up without a fight as he checked out 134 with two double twenties.

Littler said: “It’s so good to win in front of my family, my girlfriend, my manager and Karl from St Helens Dart Shop.

“I’m just enjoying it. You probably saw it on the oche, I was dead focused. I didn’t want to blink. All the hard work goes into this.

“I’m a major winner now and you can put myself in the hat of all the major winners. Looking forward to New York next week and Orlando for week off next week.

“I’ve done so well on Pro Tour and Euro Tour so I am guaranteed at World Matchplay and Grand Prix.”
