Greaves sublime run stretches to 66 matches and 10 titles at the PDC Women’s Series

On Saturday, Beau Greaves extended her extraordinary streak of PDC Women’s Series titles to ten as the 2023 season kicked off in Leicester.

Greaves won the last eight titles in the 2022 Women’s Series and continued where she left off by winning both events on the first day of the season this year.

In the season opener, the teenage sensation continued her dominance of the women’s circuit, defeating Japan’s Mikuru Suzuki 5-3 in a high-quality final.

Greaves, whose eight Women’s Series titles in 2022 saw her make her World Championship debut last December, also took the scalps of Fallon Sherrock and Lorraine Winstanley en route to the Event One final.

Greaves extended her Women’s Series winning streak to 66 matches in Event Two.

The 19-year-old defeated Suzuki twice in the semi-finals before defeating Kim Holden 5-0 in the final to win her second £2,000 prize of the day.

141 players will return to the Morningside Arena on Sunday to compete in two more events, each worth £10,000 in prize money.

The top two players in the final PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit will compete in the Cazoo World Darts Championship in 2023/24, along with the winner of the 2023 Betfred Women’s World Matchplay.

The top eight players on the Women’s Series Order of Merit after Event 12 will be qualified for the 2023 Betfred Women’s World Matchplay, which will be held on Sunday, July 23 at the Winter Gardens.
