Luke Humphries wins back-to-back nights to go top of the Premier League, defeating Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in the final with a 94 average.
Despite the final was his worst performance of the night, his quarter-final and semi-final game he averaged 103.51 and 106.66 against Michael Smith and Peter Wright.
His opening win of the night against Smith was a closer game that it needed to be – with Smith averaging 13 points less in the end – but he dug in deep to progress through to take on Wright.
Wright got his first win and points on the board for his Premier League campaign, defeating Price in a last leg decider. Despite just about getting over the line in that encounter, the man of the moment Humphries averaged 106.66, winning 6-1 to comfortable progress onwards to the final.
The game of the night, however, was between Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-final. Both players averaged over 110 but Littler prevailed in a comfortable 6-2 win over the Dutchman. Littler threw 8 180’s in as many legs to stop Van Gerwen from getting near him in what was one of the most remarkable performances ever seen in the competition.
Humphries’ Night 7 win now puts him top of the pile and 2 points clear of Michael Van Gerwen – who is his closest competitor In 2nd.
