PDC 2022 World Cup of Darts Draw

PDC 2022 World Cup of Darts Draw

Scotland’s Cazoo World Cup of Darts title defence will begin against Hong Kong, as the draw for the competition in Germany in June has been confirmed.

Peter Wright and John Henderson will team up once more for Scotland, with their first assignment pitting them against Lok Yin Lee and Ho Tung Ching of Hong Kong.

The 12th World Cup, which will be held at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt from June 16 to 19, will feature 32 two-player teams representing their country in a combination of Doubles and Singles events over four days.

England’s top seeds, Michael Smith and James Wade, will face Adam Gawlas and Karel Sedlacek of the Czech Republic.

Wales’ Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton will reunite for the fifth year in a row as the number two seeds take on the Philippines in their opening round.

For the first time, a new-look Netherlands team, led by Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode, will fight against Brazil.

Five-time semi-finalists and runners-up in 2013. Belgium will face Japan, the runners-up from 2012. Lithuania, a two-time semi-finalist, will face Australia. Gibraltar will host Northern Ireland.

Germany will open their campaign against Spain, while the 2019 runners-up Republic of Ireland will face Canada and last year’s finalists Austria will meet Finland in the best of the unseeded ties.

The game schedule will be released as soon as possible.
