2023 World Series of Darts Finals Lineup Announced

The 2023 JACKS.NL World Series of Darts Finals will be held in Amsterdam in September, and the field will feature current champion Gerwyn Price and Dutch superstar Michael van Gerwen.

24 players from around the world will compete in the three-day invitational event at AFAS Live from September 15–17 for a televised title and £300,000 in prize money.

In front of a cheering home crowd, Van Gerwen will try to win his fifth World Series of Darts championship, while Price will defend the crown he won in 2022 after an exciting 11-10 victory over Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Rob Cross, who won consecutive World Series tournaments in Australia and New Zealand in August, will be the tournament’s top seed. Michael Smith, the winner of the Bahrain Masters, will be the third seed.

Nordic Master’s champion Peter Wright, runner-up in the Poland Masters Additionally seeded players are Dimitri Van den Bergh, Nathan Aspinall, the runner-up in the New Zealand Masters, and world number six Luke Humphries.

Eight more players from the 2023 World Series of Darts Order of Merit have been invited to Amsterdam in addition to the eight seeded competitors.

Former UK Open champion Danny Noppert will also participate on home soil, while Dutch star Raymond van Barneveld will take the court for the first time in four years.

2023 World Series of Darts Finals Lineup Announced (PDC)

Jonny Clayton, the champion of the 2021 World Series Finals, will return to World Series competition after withdrawing for personal reasons from the competitions in Australia and New Zealand.

Jeff Smith will compete in his second World Series Finals after winning the North American Championship and placing second in the US Darts Masters in New York City in June.

Australian mainstay Simon Whitlock and New Zealander Haupai Puha will compete alongside New South Wales Masters runner-up Damon Heta.

The final player invited is Krzysztof Ratajski, a semifinalist in the 2021 competition.

Eight more athletes will participate in the Wednesday, September 6, Tour Card Holder Qualifier in Barnsley.
