Challenge Tour victories for Rodriguez and Noster in events three and four.
Rowby-John Rodriguez and Steven Noster joined Matt Campbell and Kevin Doets in the winners’ circle. Both won Saturday’s PDC Challenge Tour events in Germany.
In Challenge Tour 3 Rodriguez was the standout player, and was never troubled all morning as he went through the field. Victoires over Jan Dekker 5-2, Michal Smejda 5-1, Kenny Neyens 5-3, Damian Mol 5-0, Danny van Trijp 5-1, Richard Veenstra 5-2 in the semifinals.
In the final, he would face Toni Alcinas in what turned out to be a one-sided affair. Rodriguez swept aside Alcinas, whitewashing him 5-0 to seal the win.
In Challenge Tour 4 Steven Noster claimed his maiden PDC title, as the German was too hot to handle.
On his way to the final, Noster defeated Mike Rava 5-0, Erik Tautfest 5-2, Rowby-John Rodriguez 5-1, Johan Engstrom 5-2, Gary Mawson 5-4, and Davy Proosten 5-4 in the semifinal. In the final, he would face the experienced Richard Veenstra. Nothing would stop Noster, a 5-3 victory over Veenstra saw him victorious in Challenge Tour 4.
Noster tops the Order of Merit as a result ahead of Matt Campbell, Rowby-John Rodriguez and Kevin Doets with Richard Veenstra.
