Chris Dobey on how harsh the Premier League can be “ It’s depressing at times but my game is there. I’m showing I’m pushing the best and I’m living with the best”

When Chris Dobey won the Masters in January and was handed the golden Premier League ticket, questions were asked would Hollywodd join the list of players that the Premier League had broken? 

Since winning night one in Belfast, Dobey has found wins hard to come by despite some stupendous performances, and now only has a flickering chance of making the O2 for the playoffs.

Hollywood was talking after his semifinal defeat in Manchester to Jonny Clayton and believes the experiences will make him stronger and this will not be the only time he gets a taste of the Premier League.

 

“That’s part of the game. You’re playing the best players in the world week in week out. You expect to be pushing them or giving them a game and I’m doing that week in week out. I’m losing with 105/106 averages.”

“It’s depressing at times but my game is there. I’m showing I’m pushing the best and I’m living with the best. I’m just not getting the results, this Premier League this year is all about experiences and learning.”

“I’ll take this in and it’ll make me stronger, hungrier to be back there and I believe I will be back one day.”
