Rydz And Edhouse Double Up As Euro Tour 3&4 Qualifiers Decided

Callan Rydz and Ritchie Edhouse were the only players to qualify for both tournaments as the qualifiers for Euro Tour 3 and 4 took place in Leicester on Wednesday.

‘The Riot’ backed up his Players Championship 3 semi final appearance on Monday with a string of solid displays while Edhouse was equally impressive across both events, even throwing a nine darter in the second event of the day..

Luke Littler bounced back from crashing out of the ET3 qualifier in his first match by qualifying for ET4.

Belgian Mike de Decker led the list of qualifiers for the International Darts Open (ET3), due to take place in Riesa, Germany from April 12-14.

The top seed was one of the ten qualifiers, a reduced number on recent years after the changes to the Tour ahead of this year, after he defeated Callum Goffin, Matthew Dennant and Lee Evans, losing just five legs across the three matches.

The other players to qualify alongside Rydz, Edhouse and de Decker were:

  • Owen Bates
  • Mervyn King
  • Simon Whitlock
  • Cameron Menzies
  • William O’Connor
  • Richard Veenstra
  • Jitse van der Wal

Van der Wal was the man to end the hopes of Luke Littler in the Last 80 while Adam Smith-Neale threw a nine darter in his match with van der Wal before the Dutchman advanced.

Nine Dart Edhouse Qualifies For ET4

Ritchie Edhouse achieved darting perfection against Kevin Doets.

Englishman Ritchie Edhouse threw a nine darter on his way to qualifying for the European Darts Grand Prix (ET4), due to take place in Sindelfingen from April 19-21.

Having already beaten UK Open semi finalist Adam Gawlas in his opening match, Edhouse achieved darting perfection in his win over Kevin Doets before beating Alan Soutar to complete his double qualification.

Callan Rydz averaged over 100 in two of this three wins to match Edhouse’s feat, while Luke Littler won three of his four matches in a deciding leg, including his final match with Ian White, to book his place.

Other qualifiers alongside Edhouse, Rydz and Littler were:

  • Keane Barry
  • Stephen Burton
  • Martin Lukeman
  • Jeffrey Sparidaans
  • Scott Williams
  • Christian Perez
  • Mickey Mansell

Simon Whitlock was the second player to throw a nine dart leg in ET4 during his loss to Luke Littler.

The rest of the field for both events are made up of:
