Gerwyn Price on how Stephen Bunting’s slow tactics backfired on him as the Iceman crushed the Bullet in round one of the Matchplay “Stephen was pulling some darts out slower than he usually does, fairplay people have to do what they have got to do to win”

The Iceman eased past Bunting with a 10-3 victory on the opening night of the 2023 Betfred World Matchplay.

Gerwyn Price thinks the tactics Bunting applied had more of an impact on his own performance and if he would have played his own game it would have been more of a match up “I think personally it affected him more than it did me”

Price continued “If he would of played his own game like he did in the past, he’s beat me on that stage, he would have played a little bit better and the game would have been closer ”

Gerwyn Price will return to the Winter Gardens on Tuesday when he will face Joe Cullen in the second round.
