Jenkins fires at the PDC for not taking the amateur game seriously “I think the management are bang out of order”

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has come under fire from Andy Jenkins, who claims that the organization’s management is “bang out of order.”

The 51-year-old defeated Bob Anderson to advance to the round of 16 of the World Seniors Darts Championship. Rocky defeated Anderson, the 75-year-old oldest player in the over-50s competition, easily by only giving him one set.

But shortly after his victory at the Circus Tavern, the former PDC World Championship semi-finalist began to attack the PDC, saying that the organisation was not taking the amateur game seriously.

Speaking candidly, he discussed his current game and where his priorities are and expressed his belief that the PDC does not take the amateur game seriously, which is reflected in the taxing Challenge Tour, which features multiple events in a single day and is intended to mimic the ProTour.

“It was hard because obviously you’re playing a legend. Bob Anderson is a quality darts player, been quality for years and put darts on the map,” said Jenkins to Online Darts.

“Last time I was here, I lost in the semi-final to Barney. He got lucky, beat me 6-0.”

“My game is enjoying it, my game is playing MODUS (Super Series), Challenge Tour, not playing ProTour because you can get bashed up every week and I think they need to find out the amateur game is just as good as the pro game.

“I went to Q-School to try and play but they’re just looking at the top end of darts, they’re not looking at the mediocre but when certain people get through, they want to praise that up.”

“They’ve obviously changed the ProTour to 1pm. Now we’re playing Challenge Tour two in one day but why. Getting up at 9am, give us a break. I think the management are bang out of order. I can’t say what I want to think and Matt Porter hello.”
