The schedule for the Betfred World Matchplay has been confirmed.

As expected, defending champion Dimitri van den Bergh headlines the opening night. The Dream Maker will play Devon Petersen on Saturday 17 July.

World number one and world champion Gerwyn Price gets his campaign underway the same evening. He will take on Jermaine Wattimena, who replaces Mensur Suljovic after the Austrian pulled out of the tournament on medical grounds.

Peter Wright plays Danny Noppert on Sunday evening, while Michael van Gerwen takes on Damon Heta 24 hours later , in one of the ties of the first round.
