Amateur Darts Circuit announcement of the World Darts Open as their Premier Event. ” To have three World Championships didn’t fit right with us.”

Steve Brown and Scott Hunt talk you through the changes and the great news that is coming up with the Amateur Darts Circuit. As the World Darts Open just being the start.

A one-of-a-kind round-robin tournament open to players from all over the world. The World Darts Open will feature competitions for both men and women, with a total prize pool of £40,000.

The men’s event will have a limit of 256 players, while the women’s event will have a limit of 64 players.

In the round-robin stage, each player will be guaranteed at least three games (subject to maximum entries hit).

Prize Funds 

Mens 

Winner – £10,000 

Runner up – £4,000 

Semis – £1,750 

Quarters – £900 

Last 16 – £400 

Last 32 – £250 

Last 64 – £100 

Total = £31,500 

Ladies 

Winner – £3,000 

Runner up – £1,500 

Semis – £800 

Quarters – £400 

Last 16 – £100 

Total = £8,500 

Total Joint Prize Fund = £40,000

Entry Conditions 

Any player can enter that does not hold a PDC Tour Card.  

Mens Event Itinerary  

Thursday 

Players / Spectators will arrive on site. 

Friday 

Mens & Ladies Round Robin Tournament 

Doors Open at 12pm 

Play Begins at 3pm 

The Men’s Competition will be capped at 256 players and played in 64 groups. The Ladies competition will be capped at 64 players and played in 16 groups. Every player will be guaranteed at least 3 group games. (Based on maximum entries hit) The group winners will then face off and the winners will proceed to face the seeds. There will be 32 mens seeds and 8 ladies seeds. 

Saturday (Selected games live streamed) 

Mens Last 64 – Afternoon Session – 3pm – 5pm (4 games live streamed) (Seeds enter) Mens Last 32 – Evening Session – 6pm – 10pm (6 games live streamed) Ladies Last 16 – Evening Session 6pm – 10pm (2 games live streamed) (Seeds enter) 

Sunday (Selected games live streamed) 

Mens Last 16 – Afternoon Session 3pm – 5pm (2 games live streamed) Ladies Last 8 – Afternoon Session 3pm – 5pm (2 games live streamed) (4 games in total – 30 min slots) 

Mens Last 8 Onwards – Evening Session 6pm – 11pm (All games streamed) Ladies Semis onwards – Evening Session 6pm – 11pm (All games streamed) (10 games in total – 30 min slots)
