Milton Keynes to host Premier League darts

The Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes will host six straight nights of Premier League Darts.

After hosting the Summer Series and the World Matchplay, the arena will continue to be the home of PDC action.

The events will take place from Tuesday 25- Sunday 30 August.

Players will be subject to similar living conditions for the Summer Series. They will arrive at the on-site hotel on Monday 24 August for a coronavirus test. If the results come back negative, they will play in the Premier League.

Rescheduled nights cancelled

Because of the move to Milton Keynes, the PDC will cancel six of the rescheduled Premier League nights.

Ticket holders for events in:

• Birmingham
• Belfast
• Leeds
• Berlin
• Rotterdam (Thursday only)

will have their seats transferred to the 2021 event at the same venue.

If you want a refund instead, you must apply to the box office from where you bought your ticket, before 1700BST on Friday 31 August. If want a refund for Rotterdam, you must apply before Friday 14 August.

Tickets for the Wednesday night event in Rotterdam will be automatically refunded, as this event won’t take place in 2021.

The current schedule suggests the tournament could be played back in front of fans on Thursday 17 September, at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The Play-Offs are now due to take place in London on Thursday 22 October.

Where are we with the Premier League?

Before the COVID-19 shutdown, the 2020 Premier League was developing into one of the best tournaments for years.

Glen Durrant leads the Premier League by one point, ahead of world number one Michael van Gerwen. Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall occupy the other play off places at the moment.

Peter Wright is outside the top four on leg difference, and is a point ahead of Gary Anderson in 6th. Gerwyn Price is 7th, ahead of Rob Cross in 8th, both on five points.

Daryl Gurney is in the relegation place. He’s three points from safety, and with a much worse leg difference than those above him.

How can I watch?

You’ll be able to watch every night from Milton Keynes on Sky Sports, and via the PDC’s broadcast partners. The start times are yet to be confirmed.
