Humphries and Price to meet in World Grand Prix Final
Luke Humphries will look to remain the world number two tomorrow night as he takes on Gerwyn Price in the 2026 World Grand Prix Final, after both came through a star studded semi final lineup in Leicester.
It will be the second time the pair meet in the final of this tournament, after Cool Hand beat The Iceman 5-2 to win his first major title back in 2023.
Humphries defeated James Wade 5-3 in a tight contest littered with quality, as he continues for his second title. Price, twice a runner up at this event following his defeat to Humphries and Jonny Clayton in 2021, after The Iceman beat Nathan Aspinall 5-2 in the first semi final to reach his second straight TV ranking TV showpiece game.

Humphries holds on to defeat Wade in thriller
Coming into the second semi final, Humphries had not dropped a set all tournament, but was made to work against a Wade that has been playing as good as ever these past few months.
The first three legs were all breaks of throw, but Cool Hand found the first hold, hitting double four to take the opening set. The Machine answered straight back, finding a stunning 141 outshot to break in set two, before holding in 16 darts to equalise.
Another 3-1 set against the darts followed, as Humphries broke in leg three with a 12 darter, before pinging tops to go 2-1 in front. He then won the first leg of set four, but 38 darts later, Wade was level again, producing incredible stuff to level again.
Roles reversed in set five, as the two time former winner Wade went 1-0 ahead, only for Cool Hand to reel off three straight legs in 47 darts to again go ahead in sets.
Set six was arguably the turning point of the match. After Wade went 2-1 in front, Humphries forced a deciding leg, in which The Machine missed bull for a 124 to level. Cool Hand then found double eight to win the set, the first hold of throw in a set in the contest, and moved 4-2 ahead.
Despite The Machine holding himself in set seven, Humphries then reeled off three straight legs in 41 darts to claim set eight, sealing his place in a final after a fantastic semi final.

Price powers past Aspinall in first semi final
It was a more comfortable evening for The Iceman, as he took advantage of a below par Aspinall to book his spot in tomorrowβs final.
The Asp, who produced such quality in his previous two victories, averaged just 58 in the first set, as Price took just 41 darts to reel off the first set. Aspinall then went 2-1 ahead in set two, but Price won the next two legs to double his advantage.
The Welshman took the third set 3-1 to go two away from the contest, before Aspinall, a former runner up in this event back in 2022, produced a moment of quality, hitting a Champagne Shot 132 out to close out set four and get on the board.
Another 3-1 set followed for Aspinall to cut the gap to just one, with him having the darts in set six. However, Price broke on tops for a break in the opening leg, and two holds of throw later, reestablished control of the contest, finding a 15 darter on tops to go 4-2 ahead.
Despite The Asp breaking in the opening leg of set seven, he missed two darts to hold in leg two. Price pounced, hitting a 74 checkout to break straight back, before a 14 dart hold and a 15 dart break of 52 secured him the victory.
