European Tour qualifying for 9 &10 complete

Cristo Reyes and Sebastian Bialecki continued their impressive consistency on the European Tour qualifying circuit after both players secured places at upcoming European Tour events during Wednesday’s double-header in Leicester.

More than 80 players descended on the Mattioli Arena for a busy day of Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, with places up for grabs at both the inaugural Slovak Darts Open and the European Darts Open.

The Slovak Darts Open, the ninth European Tour event of the season, is scheduled to take place in Bratislava from June 19-21, while Event Ten — the European Darts Open — will be staged in Leverkusen from July 10-12.

Both Reyes and Bialecki maintained their strong records on the European Tour this season by sealing their fifth appearances of the 2026 campaign.

Former World Championship finalist Reyes came through the Slovak Darts Open qualifier in convincing fashion, producing a string of assured displays to confirm his place in Bratislava.

The Spaniard opened his campaign with a comfortable victory over Cam Crabtree before defeating Thomas Lovely to move within one win of qualification.

Reyes then completed the job with another composed performance against Northern Ireland’s Mickey Mansell, continuing what has been a highly encouraging resurgence since reclaiming his PDC Tour Card earlier this year.

Sweden’s Jeffrey de Graaf also booked his place in Slovakia after cruising to a dominant 6-1 victory over Samuel Price in the deciding match of his qualifying run.

Justin Hood continued his own excellent form by securing qualification for a second consecutive European Tour event.

The Englishman produced two whitewash victories earlier in the day before averaging 102.86 in a dramatic deciding-leg victory over Stephen Rosney to confirm his place in the field.

There was also a breakthrough moment for Tom Sykes, who will make his European Tour debut in Bratislava after winning four straight matches in Leicester.

Veteran star Mervyn King also enjoyed a memorable afternoon by qualifying for his first European Tour event since April 2024.

The former Masters champion showed tremendous fighting spirit in his deciding match against Greg Ritchie, recovering from 5-3 down and surviving multiple match darts before eventually prevailing in a last-leg thriller.

Owen Bates and Canadian ace Jim Long also secured their first European Tour appearances of the season.

Bates overcame Dutchman Richard Veenstra to qualify, while Long edged out former German Darts Championship winner Max Hopp to book his place in Bratislava.

Slovenia’s Benjamin Pratnemer joined the list of qualifiers after defeating Adam Paxton, while Irish youngster Keane Barry also sealed his place at the Slovak Darts Open with a deciding-leg victory over Charlie Manby.

Highly-rated prospect Tyler Thorpe completed the line-up of Bratislava qualifiers after recording three successive 6-4 victories during an impressive campaign.

Attention then turned to qualification for the European Darts Open in Leverkusen, where Polish youngster Sebastian Bialecki produced another standout performance.

Bialecki has established himself as one of the breakout names on the European Tour circuit this year, and he underlined that reputation by securing his fifth qualification of the season.

The Polish star began by defeating second seed Ritchie Edhouse before averaging in excess of 103 during an outstanding win against Arno Merk.

Bialecki then wrapped up qualification with victory over Shane McGuirk to continue his impressive rise on the PDC circuit.

Rhys Griffin also celebrated a major milestone by qualifying for his maiden European Tour event after more than two years as a Tour Card holder.

The Welshman displayed remarkable composure under pressure, surviving multiple match darts against Jeffrey de Zwaan before battling through a tense deciding-leg encounter.

Samuel Price will also make his European Tour debut after defeating Carl Sneyd to secure qualification for Leverkusen.

Charlie Manby continued his excellent recent form by booking his place at the European Darts Open ahead of his European Tour debut this weekend at the International Darts Open in Riesa.

The young Englishman defeated Dominik Gruellich in the deciding match of his qualifying campaign to secure another significant milestone in his emerging career.

Bradley Brooks also impressed in Leicester, confirming his second European Tour appearance of the season with victories over former European Tour champions Ian White and Michael Smith.

Elsewhere, Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas and Belgian veteran Mario Vandenbogaerde both secured spots at their second European Tour events of 2026.

Labanauskas was particularly impressive throughout qualification, conceding only five legs across his three matches en route to Leverkusen.

Vandenbogaerde, meanwhile, showed great resilience by surviving two deciding-leg shoot-outs to progress.

Mickey Mansell also continued his consistent form on the European Tour circuit, qualifying for a fourth event of the year after defeating Alexander Merkx.

Germany’s Lukas Wenig and Dutchman Maik Kuivenhoven completed the list of qualifiers after overcoming Max Hopp and Robert Owen respectively.

As with all European Tour events, the top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit will enter directly into the second round, while the leading 16 players from the ProTour rankings will face the remaining qualifiers in round one.
