Paddy Power has announced its biggest ever dartboard giveaway in a new push to raise awareness that more than 10,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year when it is too late for a cure.

With the Paddy Power World Darts Championship now just two weeks away, the Irish betting brand confirmed that 10,000 dartboards will be available in Paddy Power retail shops across the country. The boards can be claimed by customers who make a donation to Prostate Cancer UK through the Darts of Destiny JustGiving page and then show proof of that online donation in-store.

From 8:00am tomorrow, participating shops will be stocked with dartboards ready to be collected on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The giveaway is designed to draw attention to the scale of late diagnosis in prostate cancer and to encourage more men to take action earlier.

The campaign highlights a stark message: over 10,000 men a year in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer at a stage when curative treatment is no longer possible. Paddy Power says the initiative is intended to put that figure into perspective and prompt men to check their risk sooner, particularly because prostate cancer can often develop without symptoms in its early, more treatable stages.

Alongside the giveaway, Paddy Power is continuing its wider call for 180,000 men to use Prostate Cancer UK’s online risk checker during this year’s tournament. The risk checker takes around 30 seconds to complete, and the campaign organisers believe the darts audience provides the perfect platform to reach men who may not otherwise think about their risk. After more than a quarter of a million men used the tool during the first two years of the partnership, the goal for the upcoming tournament is to drive even more men to assess their risk and understand the next steps.

The message is backed by another sobering statistic: in the UK, one man dies from prostate cancer every 45 minutes. The campaign emphasises that finding the disease earlier can make it far easier to treat, which is why awareness and early risk checking are central to the initiative.

The dartboard promotion follows last week’s launch of Paddy Power’s even bigger 180 campaign, which again links darts moments to fundraising and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK. This year’s campaign includes the new Darts of Destiny challenge, a first-of-its-kind concept where one member of the public will be selected at random from contributors to the JustGiving page and given a shot at winning £180,000 live on stage.

That challenge is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in front of a packed Alexandra Palace crowd, shortly before the World Darts Championship final. The selected participant will have up to nine darts to score 180 points, with the cash prize on offer if they succeed.

In addition, Paddy Power has renewed its commitment to donate £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 hit during the tournament. The nine-dart bonus will also return, meaning any perfect leg thrown at Ally Pally will trigger a £180,000 prize split equally between the player who achieves it, Prostate Cancer UK, and one lucky fan in the audience.

After raising more than £2 million for Prostate Cancer UK during the first two years of sponsorship, Paddy Power believes the 2025/26 tournament can generate even more funding for major research efforts such as the transform trial, which launched recently. The trial aims to identify the best and safest way to screen men for prostate cancer, potentially paving the way for improved early diagnosis and saving thousands of lives each year.
