PDC and Winmau agree landmark long-term partnership as Blade X becomes official dartboard
The Professional Darts Corporation has confirmed a historic long-term partnership extension with Winmau, marking the largest equipment supply agreement ever reached in the sport.
As part of the groundbreaking deal, Winmau’s Blade X dartboard will be introduced as the official board for all PDC stage events, beginning with its on-stage debut at the Winmau World Masters in Milton Keynes from January 29 to February 1.
The announcement was made during the tournament draw event, with Arena MK set to become the first venue to showcase the Blade X in elite competition.
New era for professional dartboards
Under the new agreement, Winmau dartboards will be used exclusively across all PDC tournaments worldwide, with the global tour calendar in 2026 spanning 17 different countries.
The Blade X has been engineered specifically for the demands of the modern professional game, delivering greater scoring consistency, improved durability and a reduction in bounce-outs.
Manufactured to the highest technical standards, it becomes the first dartboard in history to launch with a five-year warranty, setting a new benchmark for professional equipment and performance.

Industry leaders react
PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter hailed the extension as a major milestone for the sport.
“Winmau have been an outstanding partner over the last four years, and this record-breaking agreement reflects the ambition both organisations share for the future of darts,” Porter said.
“Their dedication to innovation and quality is second to none, and the Blade X sets a new standard for elite-level dartboards.
“We’re excited to continue working together to deliver world-class playing conditions while helping the sport reach new audiences around the globe.”
Winmau and Nodor Group CEO Tom Brown echoed those sentiments, expressing pride in the expanded collaboration.
“This partnership represents a huge step forward for both parties,” Brown stated.
“To see the Blade X used on darts’ biggest stages is a tremendous achievement, and we look forward to continuing our work with the PDC to drive performance, innovation and global growth.”
