PDC World Cup of Darts Nations Confirmed

The full list of nations set to compete at the 2026 World Cup of Darts has now been confirmed, with 40 countries due to feature in Frankfurt – including a second African representative and the return of Slovenia for the first time since 2010.

This year’s tournament will be staged at Frankfurt’s Eissporthalle from June 11–14, where 40 two-player teams will battle it out for the prestigious title and an increased £500,000 prize fund.

Defending champions Northern Ireland headline the 33 nations already locked in for the event, with the remaining seven places to be filled via qualification tournaments scheduled over the coming months.

Slovenia are back on the World Cup stage after a 16-year absence, with Benjamin Pratnemer set to spearhead their challenge following his successful Tour Card win at European Qualifying School earlier this year.

For nations represented on the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder, final pairings will be confirmed after the Austrian Darts Open in May. Other teams will be decided using a mix of Winmau Challenge Tour standings and respective affiliate tour rankings.

Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines will determine their pairings through the PDC Asian Tour rankings, while the USA team and Canada’s second representative alongside Jim Long will be selected from the CDC’s two-year rankings. New Zealand’s lineup will be based on the DPNZ rankings, with two further nations qualifying via the PDCNB rankings.

Australia will field Damon Heta alongside new Tour Card holder Adam Leek, meaning Simon Whitlock will miss the tournament for the first time in its history.

Cristo Reyes returns to World Cup action for Spain after reclaiming his Tour Card, while Portugal will once again feature Jose de Sousa. South Africa will be represented by leading ranked player Graham Filby and one qualifier, with a second African nation to be determined through the African Darts Group Qualifier in Nairobi this March.

The tournament will retain its popular all-Doubles format in 2026, with both the group phase and knockout rounds played across four days.

The four highest-ranked nations – based on the combined PDC rankings of their two players – will receive seeds and enter at round two. The remaining 36 teams will be split into 12 groups of three for the round-robin stage, with each group winner progressing.

Round two will be played across two sessions on Saturday June 13, followed by the quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon. The semi-finals and final will then conclude the event on Sunday evening, with the champions taking home a combined £100,000 in prize money.

Live coverage will be available on Sky Sports in the UK, via the PDC’s global broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV outside the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
