Sensational Littler wins week 8 at the MODUS Super Series

Teenage sensation Luke Littler has once again attracted attention with his unprecedented darts talent. Saturday night Littler recorded an average of nearly 118 during the final of week 8 at the MODUS Super Series.

The best six players from the first five days of play met Saturday and it was the 16-year-old that blew the rest away as he looks to defend his Series 3 crown.

Finals night at the Super Series is divided into two pools. Littler won his pool matches convincingly by defeating Jordan Brooks (4-2) and Harry Ward (4-2). Ward also became a semifinalist by dealing with Brooks (4-3).

In the other group, Andy Baetens remained unbeaten with victories over James Richardson (4-1) and Chris Gilliland (4-3). Gilliland did finish second in this pool after a 4-1 win over Richardson.

In the semi-finals, Baetens defeated Ward 4-1  and Littler defeated Gilliland 4-1 as well. So the final was set, and for once the best two players across the week meet in the final.

In the buildup, many questions were asked about Littler because Baetens seemed to have his number in their Group A meetings. In the final Littler blew all those questions away as he produced a stunning performance, and his best in the Super Series. Littler was relentless as he hammered Baetens 4-0, an average of 117.88 to book his place at Champions Week.
