Michael Van Gerwen, Jose De Sousa, Peter Wright, Fallon Sherrock and Gary Anderson were
among the few names to make their way into the last 16 on Tuesday night.

down in the history books.

his place in the next round, with a 103.88 average and three 180’s, the Flying Scotsman sets
up a mouth-watering clash with MVG on Thursday.
Group E began with a comfortable 5-0 victory for Peter Wright over Mike De Decker. With
an 88.41 average, and one 180, Snakebite had too much for the German. A highest checkout
of 90 for Wright, who booked his place in the last 16.
The record breaker Fallen Sherrock then came up against the German Gabriel Clemens. The
Giant broke throw in the first leg with a finish on double 8. Both players then exchanged
breaks before Clemens opened a 3-1 lead with a double 20 finish. Sherrock fought back to 3-
3 with an incredible 144 checkout. The Queen of the Palace then pinned double 20 to take a
4-3 lead and then reeled off a staggering 170 finish to book her place in the next round. A
truly incredible performance from Sherrock!
The first game in Group F, saw a dominant Mensur Sulijovic beat Matt Campbell 5-0 to
qualify for the last 16. The Austrian took the first two legs with finishes on double 14 and
double 16. Sulijovic then continued his dominance, and reeled off the remaining three legs,
with 100% on the outer ring and an impressive 104.38 average.
The defending champion Jose De Sousa and Luke Humphries played out an absolute classic.
Humphries raced into a 2-0 lead before The Special One pinned double seven to get his first
leg on the board. Cool Hand then took out 32 and 117 to open a comfortable 4-1 lead. Jose
then hit back with two finishes on double 20 to find his way back to 4-3 and secure his place
in the last 16. Cool Hand pinned double 10 to round off a 5-3 victory but failed to reach the
next round on leg difference.
In Group G, Joe Cullen came up against Lisa Ashton, knowing that a win would put the
Rockstar through. Cullen averaged 93.80, with three 180’s in his 5-2 victory over Ashton to
put him into second place in the group.
The in-form Michael Van Gerwen eased his way past John Henderson to top Group G. MVG
raced into a 2-0 lead, before Hendo pinned 110 to break the throw and half the deficit. The
world number three, then rounded off a 5-1 victory with a spectacular 125 finish, with him
hitting the bullseye twice to qualify.
Up first in Group H, was Bully Boy Micheal Smith and, having already qualified, he made it
past the injured Joe Davis. Smith missed nine darts at a double in the opener, with Davis
taking an early lead on double nine. Smith hit back, winning the next four legs to take a
comfortable 4-1 lead before Davis bounced back with two legs of his own. Smith got the job
done a leg later, rounding off a 5-3 victory.
One of the most anticipated games of the evening came in the final game with Raymond
van Barneveld and Gary Anderson both needing a win to progress. Gary took the opener,
nailing 69 against the throw. Both players then exchanged further breaks of throw before
Anderson nailed 80 to hold throw and extend his lead to 3-1. Barney bounced back with 14
