Flanders Darts Trophy Draw Confirmed as World Grand Prix Race Reaches Climax

The draw and schedule for the 2026 Blåkläder Flanders Darts Trophy have been confirmed, with the race for World Grand Prix qualification set to reach its conclusion in Antwerp this weekend.

The 13th European Tour event of the season will take place at the Antwerp Expo from September 11-13, with the battle for places at November’s European Championship also continuing on Belgian soil.

Friday’s opening round will feature 16 matches across a bumper double session, with Beau Greaves handed a blockbuster clash against Australian number one Damon Heta.

Sebastian Bialecki and Belgian star Kim Huybrechts will meet in a potentially crucial encounter for the World Grand Prix race, while Spanish veteran Cristo Reyes will begin his campaign against former World Champion Rob Cross.

Raymond van Barneveld will make his return to European Tour action against Canadian veteran Jim Long, while Dirk van Duijvenbode and Brendan Dolan will go head-to-head in another intriguing first-round tie.

Austrian Darts Open runner-up Kevin Doets has been drawn against James Hurrell, while Scotland’s World Cup semi-finalist Cameron Menzies will face German star Gabriel Clemens.

The top 16 players on the PDC Rankings Ladder will enter the action in Saturday’s second round, with top seed Gian van Veen set to face either Menzies or Clemens.

James Wade, who is aiming to secure his place at the European Championship this weekend, will meet either Van Barneveld or Long.

Three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen awaits the winner of Heta and Greaves in what could be one of Saturday evening’s standout clashes.

Gerwyn Price will begin his campaign against either Mickey Mansell or Bradley Brooks, while Stephen Bunting will face Van Duijvenbode or Dolan.

Bialecki and Huybrechts will battle for the right to face Wessel Nijman, who has already claimed two European Tour titles in 2026.

Nathan Aspinall, meanwhile, will await either Niko Springer or his first-round opponent as he looks to make another deep run in Antwerp.

Martin Schindler will face either Cross or Reyes in his opening match, with the German number one entering the weekend knowing a strong run could be crucial in his bid for World Grand Prix qualification.

The field will be completed on Thursday following the Host Nation Qualifier, with four Belgian players set to earn places in the European Tour event.

The action then gets underway on Friday, before Saturday sees the seeded players enter the tournament for the second round.

Following the conclusion of Saturday’s play, the last 16 will return to the stage on Sunday afternoon, before the tournament reaches its conclusion with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final during a bumper evening session.

The Flanders Darts Trophy represents the final opportunity for players to make their move in the race for the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix, with the 32-player field for the Leicester showpiece set to be confirmed following the conclusion of next weekend’s event.

The European Championship qualification race will also continue to intensify, adding further significance to a crucial weekend on the European Tour.

Withdrawals

Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Jonny Clayton and Gary Anderson have withdrawn from the original entry list.

They have subsequently been replaced in the field by Gabriel Clemens, James Hurrell, Kim Huybrechts and Brendan Dolan from the Reserve List.
