The ten respective players from the European Tour 7 and European Tour 8 qualifiers have been revealed. Both Tour Card Holder Qualifiers for ET7 and ET8 took place on Wednesday, May 14th, at Halle 39 in Hildesheim.

As part of the new changes, the world’s top 16 players enter the tournament at the second round of both competitions, with the first round seeing 16 ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers facing off against the other 16 Qualifiers to complete the 48-player competition.

Currently, from a £175,000 prize pool, the winner of the event earns £30,000, while the runners-up racks up £12,000. Additionally, cash rewards are distributed further down the ranks, with first-round losers also receiving a share of £1,250 from the prize pot.

Lukas Wenig put his name in the hat for both events after winning against Richard Veenstra and Mario Vandenvogaerde in his final two matches in both qualifers.

Mickey Mansell, Kim Huybrechts and Niko Springer followed suit and will feature in both the Netherlands and Germany in the coming weeks.

Scotsman Alan Soutar bounced back from a nail-biting last-leg deciding loss in the ET7 qualifier to Huybrechts to edge out Irishman William O’Connor who lost two deciders throughout the day.

Ketttering-born star Ricky Evans defeated former Lakeside champion Jelle Klaasen in the ET8 qualifier to progress through.
