Taylor to miss the World Seniors Masters in a playing capacity with two qualifying  places left

Phil Taylor has been ruled out of the World Seniors Masters in November, the Power has not recovered from hip surgery in time to play the same reason he was ruled out of the Matchplay earlier this month.

This was meant to be Taylor‘s farewell before retiring from competitive darts but it looks as if the curtain has been brought down early on a glittering career.

The 16-time world champion has failed to make the same impact on the board in Senior darts as he did in the professional game.

Kevin Painter had also accepted his invite but has also been ruled out. The Artist had a reoccurrence of his dartitis in York. On that day Painter bravely battled through the match in defeat to David Cameron.

Like Taylor will now miss the World Masters in Sunderland. But both will be in attendance during the event as VIP ambassadors, as well as being part of the TNT Sports presenting and commentary team.
