Gurney leads list of players into round two

Left until the last match, Gurney knocked out Van der Voort in a battle of former Euro Tour winners . Gurney won the first three legs, before Van der Voort missed ten darts to get on the board. He eventually found double one to cut the gap to 3-1, but Superchin won three more holds to set up the meeting with MvG.

Brooks and Lewis played out the game of the day. Jackpot was 4-2 down, but he forced a last leg decider, where he missed four match darts to complete the comeback.
