Jonny Clayton became the first player to win two Premier League Darts nights in 2026.

The Ferret, who won in Glasgow on night three, defeated defending champion Luke Humphries 6-4 to take the Nottingham title, in a repeat scoreline of last week’s semi final in Cardiff.

It extends Clayton’s lead at the top of the league to eight points, and puts him in a brilliant position to qualify for Finals Night in London, which he’s done every year he’s been a part of the full Premier League Darts lineup.

Clayton continues to impress in Premier League Darts

Before the 2026 Premier League Darts started, there were a few people that suggested The Ferret might not be the right pick. Safe to say, those people are quickly having to change their opinion.

Clayton broke in the opening leg of the final, before holding in leg two after Humphries missed a dart to break back. Cool Hand got on the board in the third leg, thanks to a lovely 121 finish on the bull, but Clayton held once more to go halfway to the title.

Humphries then missed a dart to win leg five, and the Welshman produced the outshot of the match, pinging a 146 to go a double break in front. The former World Champion missed another dart at the bull in leg six, allowing Clayton to ping a 44 checkout to go within one of the match.

17 darts later, Clayton found double 16 to complete the win.

Clayton’s evening started with a 6-3 victory over Michael van Gerwen in the second quarter final. MvG started the match stronger, winning the first two legs in 26 darts, but The Ferret took six of the next seven legs to complete the victory.

The former Premier League Darts champion then saw off Stephen Bunting by the same scoreline in the first semi final. The Welshman raced out the blocks, taking the first three legs, before Bunting won three on the spin himself. However, Clayton won the final three legs of the contest to book a place in the final, including a 21 dart break of throw in the eighth leg.

The defending champion saw off Gian van Veen in the third quarter final, coming through a tight battle 6-4. It was just the second time in the previous eight games that Cool Hand defeated GvV, winning the game with a 74 outshot.

He then beat Luke Littler in the semi final, claiming his first victory over the World Champion since last year’s Premier League Darts final.

The pair produced another ridiculous game, each averaging over 101. Humphries missed three match darts after going 5-3 ahead, but held his nerve in the final leg, taking out a 128 to book his place in the final averaging 105.71 in the process.

What else happened?

Despite losing in the semi finals, both Stephen Bunting and Luke Littler picked up two more points in their Premier League Darts campaigns.

Bunting defeated Josh Rock 6-1 in the first quarter final, reversing the result of the UK Open quarter final on Sunday. Rocky averaged just 82.88 and hit 1/10 on the outer ring, as The Bullet cruised through.

Luke Littler remains in the top four despite losing in the semi final, thanks to a quarter final win over Gerwyn Price.

In another high quality game between the pair just like last week, The Nuke averaged 108.66 and hit 10 of the 14 180s in the game, while The Iceman hit a 101.31 average. Price went 4-3 up, but missed darts to go one from the match, allowing Littler to level the game at 4-4. Three holds of throw later, The Nuke took out 82 to end an excellent contest.
