PDC grants permission for previously qualified new Tour Card holders to play in 2022 WDF World Championship.

The PDC’s Player Contract requires Tour Card Holders to obtain permission to compete in broadcasted events which are not organised by the PDC.

The WDF tournament had been scheduled for early January before being moved to April 2-10 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with seven qualifiers subsequently winning a PDC Tour Card at the 2022 Qualifying School in mid-January.

The PDC’s Board of Directors has agreed a one-off exception to the Player Contract to permit these seven players to compete without penalty in the rearranged event should they wish.

The seven players are Nick Fullwell, Cameron Menzies, Ross Montgomery, Brian Raman, Connor Scutt, Mario Vandenbogaerde and Jules van Dongen.

Menzies to play in WDF World Championship

Out of those though Ross Montgomery and Mario Vandenbogaerde have declined their invitation. This means that Roman Obukhov and Donovan Lottering will take those spots as the next highest ranked players.
