Winmau has announced history-maker Fallon Sherrock as its newest Player Ambassador.
Sherrock, who famously became the first woman to defeat a man at the PDC World Darts Championship, will now compete with Winmau darts across all PDC events as part of the new partnership.
The 30-year-old made global headlines on December 17, 2019, when she defeated Ted Evetts 3-2 in the opening round of the 2020 World Championship at Alexandra Palace. In doing so, she became the first woman ever to win a match on darts’ biggest stage.
Sherrock followed that landmark victory with a superb 3-1 win over 11th seed Mensur Suljovic, before her historic run was ended in the third round by Chris Dobey.
Her trailblazing exploits captured global attention, with her third-round clash drawing record-breaking viewing figures for an afternoon session at the time. The run also earned her the now-iconic nickname “Queen of the Palace,” in tribute to the Alexandra Palace stage.
Sherrock remains one of the sport’s most recognisable figures, having featured in five World Championship campaigns, three Grand Slam appearances and a Challenger outing in the 2020 Premier League.
A true pioneer in the women’s game, Sherrock has helped inspire a new generation of players. From being one of just two women in the 2020 World Championship field, she has since seen that number rise significantly — with a record five female players competing in the 2026 edition.
Her success extends beyond the biggest stages. Sherrock is one of the most decorated players in the women’s game, boasting 20 PDC Women’s Series titles, alongside victory in the inaugural PDC Women’s World Matchplay in 2022.
In recognition of her impact on the sport, she was awarded an MBE in the 2023 Birthday Honours for services to darts.

Phil Borthwick, Chief Marketing Officer of Nodor Group, praised Sherrock’s influence following the announcement:
“Fallon Sherrock is a true legend of the sport. Her history-making performance at the 2020 World Championship transcended beyond the traditional darts audience, captured mainstream attention, and helped pave the way for more women to compete at the highest level.
“We’re incredibly proud to have her join the Winmau team, and I can’t wait to see what she achieves on stage with our darts.”
Sherrock also expressed her excitement at joining the iconic brand, paying tribute to the team behind the move, including MODUS Sports Management.
“I’m thankful to my team at MODUS Sports Management for bringing me to the huge legacy manufacturer Winmau,” she said. “It’s an iconic brand in darts and I’m proud to represent them on the biggest stages. I’m really excited about what we can achieve together.”
As part of the partnership, a dedicated Fallon Sherrock darts range is set to be launched later in the first half of the year, further cementing her status as one of the sport’s most influential and marketable stars.
