The draw and first round matches for the 2024 Players Championship Finals have been confirmed.

After a dramatic conclusion to the Pro Tour season in Wigan, 64 players will compete at Butlin’s Minehead Resort later this month for the last leg play title of 2023.

Chris Dobey ended the season as the number one on the Players Championship Order of Merit, and he will take on Nathan Aspinall in round one in a blockbuster tie, who qualified as the 64th and final seed.

Number two seed Stephen Bunting will play number 63 seed Mario Vandenbogaerde, and he will be looking to win a second TV title of the year after being victorious at The Masters in January.

Defending champion Luke Humphries, who qualified 19th on the Order of Merit, takes on number 46 seed Gabriel Clemens, while seven time champion Michael van Gerwen will take on Ian White in round one.

Luke Littler will also make his debut at the event, having qualified eighth on the Order of Merit. The Nuke won the World Youth Final here last year and will begin his quest for a first Players Championship Finals trophy against 58th seed Rob Cross, who defeated him in round one of the World Grand Prix earlier in October.

Other standout first round ties include:

• Number five seed Dave Chisnall playing number 60 seed Joe Cullen
• 2018 Players Championship Finals winner Daryl Gurney taking on the two time World Champion Peter Wright
• The third seed Damon Heta facing off against number 62 seed Mervyn King
• Former European Champion Ross Smith, the 12th seed, plays the UK Open champion and 53rd seed Dimitri Van den Bergh. The Dream Maker won his UK Open title at Minehead in March
