As the World Series of Darts continues this weekend, Luke Humphries and Madars Razma will also face off in Copenhagen, while Gerwyn Price will begin his defence of the Mr. Vegas Nordic Darts Masters against Cor Dekker.
A 16-player field will fight for trophies in the Danish city on June 6-7 at Forum Copenhagen in the 2025 World Series of Darts, which follows tournaments in Bahrain and Den Bosch in January.
Reigning champion Price is set to take centre stage as eight PDC superstars compete against the eight Nordic & Baltic representatives in Friday’s first round for a spot on Finals Day.
The Welshman will take on Norway’s World Cup hero Dekker, who earned his PDC Tour Card back in January, in an attempt to win back-to-back Nordic Darts Masters championships.
This weekend’s action will also feature world number one Humphries, who is making his first appearance since winning the Premier League last Thursday.
The top-ranked Nordic & Baltic representative playing this weekend, Latvian sensation Razma, has been given a challenging opening matchup against the 2023–24 World Champion.
Since the world number two missed last year’s trip to Copenhagen, world champion Luke Littler takes on Swedish rookie Viktor Tingstrom in a matchup of Nordic Darts Masters debutants.
Top seed Stephen Bunting, who won the Bahrain Darts Masters earlier this year, will face Sweden’s Oskar Lukasiak, who advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals, in another intriguing match.
Runner-up at the Nordic Darts Masters in 2024 Andreas Harrysson, who made it to the round of 16 at the European Darts Open in Leverkusen last weekend, will also be Rob Cross’s opponent from Sweden.
Benjamin Reus of Denmark will face an unbeaten Nathan Aspinall for a spot in the quarterfinals as he continues to aim for his first World Series triumph at home.
In other news, former World Championship quarterfinalist Darius Labanauskas of Lithuania will face Welsh number one Jonny Clayton in his World Series comeback.
After 2021 champion Michael van Gerwen withdrew due to family matters, Chris Dobey was added to the PDC roster. The previous Masters champion will begin the tournament by against Sweden’s Jeffrey de Graaf.
The World Series of Darts event will come to an end on Saturday night after Friday’s opening round. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and final will all take place over a thrilling evening session in Copenhagen.
