Gary Anderson to miss the next European Tour event due to a shoulder injury.

Online Darts can confirm that Gary Anderson will be forced to miss the Europen Tour event in Munich this weekend.

Anderson was forced to withdraw halfway through his match against Martin Schindler in the season’s sixth Players Championship competition.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ could not continue playing after sustaining a shoulder injury and conceded defeat with the score at 3-3.

The news that Anderson will not be able to play this weekend will come as a blow after the Scotsman’s sensational start to the season.

Anderson has been receiving ongoing treatment since the injury, but this weekend’s Euro Tour will come too soon for him to play. He is also a doubt for the Two Players Championship events and ET 3 in Riesa in early April.

Over the last 18 months, Anderson has been turning heads as he returned to the form that saw him win major TV titles in the PDC including back-to-back World Championships, the Premier League and the World Matchplay.

Online Darts has been told that his shoulder injury isn’t serious, and it is hoped that Anderson will be back in a couple of weeks.
