Gerwyn Price warns his rivals after storming to win Liverpool “When I’m on my game, I am the best in the world”
A fired-up Gerwyn Price has sent a “best in the world” statement to the Premier League and the rest of his darts world.
After winning the Premier League for the third consecutive night, the Welsh star is sure that he is the best player on the planet at his best.
Price is certain that he is the best dog when he is set on fire, even if Littler is the world champion, Luke Humphries is the world number one, and Michael van Gerwen is the three-time king of the game.
“When I’m on my game, I am the best in the world. Luke’s as good as he is, Michael’s as good as he is on his day, but if I play my A game, they don’t beat me and I think they know that as well. But it’s which one of me turns up.
“I’m just a little inconsistent. I just need to get a few more wins under my belt, especially in the Europeans, because I am chasing ranking points.

“I am down to No.12 in the world and I want to get myself back up. I missed a load of events last year and the year before and the boys that are above me that are not in the Premier League are playing in absolutely everything.
“So the ranking is a little bit unfair in a way because you are missing loads of events to play in this sort of stuff, but I am trying to fit in as much as I can.
“I’m playing out of my skin the majority of time and someone has a freak game, that’s the way it goes. I just think I am being more positive and not being as negative and down on myself.
“Everybody knows what I can do and that, if I turn up and play my A game, it is going to be a tough game for them.
“Don’t get me wrong, some games I haven’t been at my best and I have lost, but they don’t underestimate me. If I keep pushing forward, there’s no reason why I can’t win the Premier League this season.”
