Peter Wright eyeing third World Title after ending the wait for with major ”They all know I’m pretty good when I turn up”

Peter Wright won his eighth major title in his career as he was crowned European Champion for the second time and his first since his world title in early 2022.

Now Snakebite has his eyes set on more glory at Ally Pally in December.

This is a timely return to form from Wright who has struggled over the last year and is in danger of missing the Players Championship finals in Minehead later this month.

”That was tiring but yeah, it’s fantastic to come away the winner,”

”Me and James, we both struggled. I don’t know what it was but as soon as he started to hit something I hit something so I think we were just waiting for each other to go.”

‘It’s just another trophy, another title. I know I can win you know, it’s just if I put the hard work in. I can win these tournaments not playing well either. We’ve got all the other ones coming up soon and hopefully, I’ll get the consistency better and learn how to throw these darts properly.”

”I knew deep down it would happen again,” Wright says. “It was just whether it would be this soon because the form this year has been terrible, averages below 80 sometimes. It’s only the past month or so that I’ve been hitting that form again.”

”They all know I’m pretty good when I turn up. I’m hard work to beat if you are going to beat me. I believe I can. I’ll just sneak up.”
