Luke Littler won a game for the ages against Luke Humphries to regain the Premier League Darts crown.

On one of the greatest Finals Nights in history, The Nuke and Cool Hand played out the final for the third year in a row at The O2 in London. Littler won in 2024, with defending champion Humphries taking victory 12 months ago. This time round, the two each averaged over 105, before Littler won a last leg decider on tops after being 6-3 down to win his second Premier League title.

On a night where every leg possible was played, Littler, who won the league phase, now joins Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson as the fourth player to win multiple Premier League Darts titles. It’s also the 13th time in the last 15 games on TV that The Nuke has won a match in the last leg, extending his ridiculous record.

Humphries holds advantage after ludicrous start to the final

Both Littler and Humphries had to battle just to reach the 2026 Premier League Darts Final. In the first semi final, Littler went 9-4 up on Gerwyn Price, but missed five match darts in leg 14. The Iceman roared back to win five legs on the spin and force a deciding leg. The Nuke though maintained his composure, finding a 14 dart hold of throw on double 16 to win 10-9 for his 17th consecutive TV semi final win.

Humphries also beat Jonny Clayton by the same scoreline, and he too was made to work for it. After going 6-2 up, Cool Hand looked set for a comfortable victory, only for The Ferret to win seven of the next eight legs and go 9-7 up. The defending champion won the next two legs to force a second decider of the night, where both missed match darts. Humphries though found double eight for a 14 dart break to secure the win in another astonishing game.

Humphries won the bull, and comfortably held in the opening leg, before breaking in 13 darts to move 2-0 in front. He then missed a dart at tops for a 134 finish and a 3-0 lead, allowing Littler to break straight back and get his first leg on the board. 24 darts later, the World Champion went ahead for the first time, following up a 13 dart hold with an 11 dart break to go 3-2 up.

Cool Hand though responded in the sixth leg, breaking back on 25 to level up once again, before leaving the same 134 finish he had in leg three. This time, instead of missing the second tops in the combo, he pinged it with Littler waiting on 41, to move ahead 4-3. Littler then missed two to equalise again, allowing Cool Hand to ping a 112 to go two clear again.

A spectacular 121 finish on the bull gave Humphries his third ton plus outshot and a three leg lead for the first time, before Littler stopped the rot with an 11 dart hold to close out the first session 6-4 down. Littler averaged 111.89 in the first 10 legs, while Humphries hit a ridiculous 114.89 average.

Littler fights back to regain Premier League Darts crown

The world number one came back out of the break the quicker, hitting a second straight 11 darter to break Humphries and cut the gap to one. Both missed darts for leg 12, but Cool Hand lived up to his moniker, breaking on double 10 to restore the two leg lead.

Both missed darts to win the next leg, but this time it was The Nuke who took it out, again cutting the gap to one with another break, before levelling the game with an 11 dart hold to make it 7-7.

Two comfortable holds followed, before both missed darts for leg 17, but this time, the defending champion found double four to go in front once more. Littler though found a 14 dart hold, to make it 9-9.

The Nuke then went seven into the nine in the next leg, but had to settle for a 10 darter, as he broke to go within one of regaining the title. He then missed double tops for the title, allowing Humphries to ping 68 and send it to a last leg decider, meaning every leg was played on Finals Night.

Humphries left 16 after 15 in the decider, but Littler had 54 left after 12. After missing the single 14, he hit the single three, and pinged tops to regain the Premier League Darts crown, winning with a 111.67 average to Humphries’ 105.60.
