Viktor Tingstrom and Tom Bissell become the first to win PDC Tour Cards at 2025 Q-School
At the 2025 Qualifying Schools on Thursday, Viktor Tingstrom and Tom Bissell became the first players to win PDC Tour Cards.
Tingstrom received the first card in the European Qualifying School in Kalkar, Germany, while Bissell, the newbie on the block, won at the UK Qualifying School in Milton Keynes.
This week, Bissell, who had never participated in an event linked with PDC, fought his way through a difficult draw to secure his place on the ProTour for the upcoming two years.
After defeating Jarred Cole 6-3 to start the afternoon, the Englishman defeated Jamie Owens and John Henderson to go to the Round of 16.
After Thomas Lovely missed a match dart, he defeated him in a thrilling match to advance to the quarterfinals, where he defeated James Howard Hughes.
In order to secure his spot on the professional circuit for the first time, Bissell then overcame Tom Sykes 6-3 in the semifinals before defeating 2020 World Youth Champion Bradley Brooks in a last-leg match.
Tingstrom, meantime, defeated World Cup great Stefan Bellmont, Kevin Troppman, Andrea Micheletti, and former Tour Card Holder Karel Sedlacek en route to the final in Kalkar, where he had three ton-plus averages.
In the final, Swedish sensation Tingstrom faced Dutchman Jimmy van Schie. He won the final two legs to defeat him 6-4, nailing a 129 checkout to earn his maiden Tour Card.
