The Premier League of Darts travel to Manchester for Night 10.

Last week in Belfast, Luke Littler came out on top where he defeated Luke Humphries, Michael Van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall to win his first Nightly win this Premier League.

A fantastic standard of darts was thrown in the quarter-final clash between Michael Smith and Michael Van Gerwen. The latter needed to get points on the board after stagnating with 15 points for the last four weeks and he produced the highest average of the evening, winning 6-4 with a 105.79 average.

Despite consistently being in contention for a top four spot for the opening six weeks, Rob Cross has been unable to pick up a win in his last three games which has seen him fall down to sixth in the table and needs to pick up points fast to stay within a chance.

The opposite could be said about Nathan Aspinall, his win in Exeter has given him the confidence he needs to get himself into play-off contention. As he currently lies 4th with 16 points, his stablemate Littler is only 2 points ahead in 2nd.

Gerwyn Price vs Peter Wright

Nathan Aspinall vs Rob Cross

Another meeting between the pair always happens at significant times, with both needing a win. Cross needs a win to get back into the play-offs while Aspinall needs a win to keep himself comfortably in the play-offs.

Despite averaging a disappointing 86 last week in his opening round game, Cross should never be discounted and picking up that first initial win could spur him on to go all the way.

Luke Littler vs Michael van Gerwen

This encounter is one of the best to watch as they both bring out the best in each other. Last time round Littler trounced van Gerwen in a 6-2 win and averaged 114 in the process. This time round, he will have his home crowd behind him.

The battle to catch up to Luke Humphries, who won three nights on the spin, is well and truly on. It is important for either to get off the mark and to try and catch up to the leader. The battle between 2nd and 3rd could mean one of them falls out of the play-off places due to how narrow the table is.

Michael Smith vs Luke Humphries

Michael Smith has a tough task on his hands as he takes on the world number one, Luke Humphries. Humphries enjoyed great success at the most recent Euro Tour in Germany, averaging 107 over the whole tournament.

Smith in particular will be looking at revenge since the pair met in the final of Week 6 and Week 8, which he both lost. The mental barrier of defeating the reigning world champ after those final heartbreaks could signify a change in fortune for the St Helens man.

Gerwyn Price vs Peter Wright

To round off the quarter-finals it is a battle between 7th and 8th, where a win for either player just adds much needed points to the board. With Price 9 points behind the play-offs and Wright 12 points behind, both players need to pick up their first Nightly win too.

Wright’s form is on the rise week on week and he averaged 104 in the Euro Tour event last weekend. In Week 7 he managed to beat Price in the opening quarterfinals in a last leg decider despite averaging seven points less.
