The 2024 PDC Grand Slam of Darts will see the final four spots in the quarter-finals announced following Mickey Mansell, Cameron Menzies, Martin Lukeman, and Rob Cross booked their place on Wednesday night.

This week’s tournament in Wolverhampton is wide open due to shock exits from the top stars in the group, particularly defending champion Luke Humphries and former multiple-time winner Michael van Gerwen. It’s worth noting that recent three-time winner Gerwyn Price isn’t even at the tournament after failing to qualify.

Jermaine Wattimena vs Dimitri Van den Bergh

It’s no secret that Jermaine Wattimena will be bursting with confidence after a recent run in the European Championships saw him reach his first televised ranking final, with the Dutchman continuing his impressive form to progress through in his group.

However, playing Dimitri Van den Bergh is no easy task, but these two will know each other’s strengths and weaknesses due to sharing the same management stable.

The Belgian star has had many successful late stage runs on TV this year and won the UK Open in March, therefore this matchup should provide pure entertainment considering his natural ability.

Gian van Veen vs Ryan Joyce

Gian van Veen takes on an inform Ryan Joyce for a place in the quarter-finals. Just under a month ago Joyce reached his second TV semi-final in Leicester at the World Grand Prix, but this encounter should brew up excitement.

Luke Littler vs Mike De Decker

Luke Littler silenced any critics to top the group with no troubles at all, conceding only four legs and averaging 100+ in two games and 112.16 in his first match. He bounced back from first-round defeats in his debut World Matchplay and World Grand Prix to book a Last 16 spot.

The teenage sensation however is up against the recent World Grand Prix champion. The Belgian De Decker hasn’t looked as convincing as potentially expected in his group stage matches considering his recent life-changing accolade, but he can’t be disregarded due to his impressive form in Leicester.

Gary Anderson vs Stephen Bunting

Arguably the game of the night concludes this evening’s order of play, with two-time PDC champion Gary Anderson taking on Stephen Bunting. Both players complied together incredible averages in the group stages with the expectation to follow later tonight.

Arguably Anderson has his best chance of winning his first major ranking tournament since 2018, with the Scotsman eyeing a first Grand Slam title in a tournament he has loved his whole career.

Bunting will be there to try and spoil the night, but the St Helens star will be looking to build on his first TV win earlier this year at the Masters and double his TV tournament tally.
