2024 Grand Slam of Darts draw announced
Luke Humphries will begin the defence of his Grand Slam of Darts title in Group A featuring James Wade, Mickey Mansell and Rowby-John Rodriguez.
The world number one and world champion, who won this title as part of a spell in 2023 that saw Cool Hand pick up four titles in 87 days.
Luke Littler, who qualified for his debut Grand Slam of Darts as both World Youth Champion and Premier League winner, will face UK Open winner Dimitri Van den Bergh in his group. Keane Barry and Lourence Illagan complete the lineup in Group F.
Three time champion Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson will resume their long standing rivalry in the group stage, with the two paired together in Group G with Ryan Joyce and Noa-Lynn van Leuven.
Arguably, the toughest group is Group H, containing Masters winner Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman. Rock famously hit a nine darter against van Gerwen in his debut Grand Slam of Darts event in 2022.
Elsewhere, 2022 winner Michael Smith faces off against World Grand Prix Mike De Decker, European Championship runner up Jermaine Wattimena and Mensur Suljovic in Group E, while former UK Open winner Danny Noppert takes on Martin Schindler, Cameron Menzies and Beau Greaves in Group B.
Last year’s runner up Rob Cross is in Group C with Rob Cross, Peter Wright, Martin Lukeman and Leonard Gates, with Group D consisting of Dave Chisnall, Ross Smith, Ritchie Edhouse and Connor Scutt.
Beginning on Saturday 9 November, the first four days of the 2024 Grand Slam of Darts will see players compete in the group stage format, with each game the first to five legs.
After this, the winners and runners up of each group will then move into the knockout phase, starting on Wednesday 13 November and concluding on Sunday 17 November with the semi finals and final.
