Luke Littler won his fourth night of the 2026 Premier League Darts as he defied the boos at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

In a rematch of last week’s final in Rotterdam, The Nuke turned the tables on Jonny Clayton in this week’s showpiece game, as he produced a masterful performance to win 6-1 averaging 104.54.

It means The Nuke is now just three points off the table topping Ferret, as he bids to finish at the summit of the Premier League Darts for a third consecutive year, and every year he’s been in the event.

Masterful night on the doubles helps Littler to victory

After a rough crowd reception in Rotterdam last week, The Nuke expected the same on Merseyside. Once again, he silenced them, going one better than last week at the Ahoy by winning the night.

Littler took the opening leg of the final after Clayton missed bull for a 121, before breaking on tops for a 68 outshot to double his advantage. The Ferret then missed a dart at the bull in the third leg, allowing The Nuke to ping double five and get halfway to the winning line.

Both missed darts for the fourth leg, but Littler eventually hit double five again to go a double break ahead. 13 darts later, he went 5-0 ahead, hitting tops to do so. Clayton avoided the whitewash in leg six, hitting 61 to get his first leg on the board.

It only delayed the inevitable, as Littler pinged in an 11 darter in leg seven to close out the victory and cut the gap at the top of the table.

Littler took advantage of a poor performance on the doubles by Luke Humphries in the final last eight game. The defending champion finished just 2/11 on the outer ring despite hitting more 180s and producing a higher average than The Nuke, but it was Littler who won 6-2.

The World Champion then had to survive a ridiculous performance by Michael van Gerwen in his semi final contest. MvG went 3-1 up in the early stages, averaging 113, but once again, the world number one showed his quality, fighting back to level the game, before three 14 darters in the final four legs saw him take a 6-5 victory, despite the Dutchman averaging 107.54 and hitting an incredible nine maximums.

Clayton survived two match darts earlier in the evening to reach the final, winning both his quarter and semi final in last leg deciders. Firstly, in his last eight game against Stephen Bunting, The Bullet squandered a dart at double 18 for his first win in his home city, allowing The Ferret, who’d missed the bull for a 161 in his previous visit, to take out 25 to close out the game.

He then went 3-1 down to Gian van Veen in his last four game, before winning five legs on the bounce to go 5-3 up. The Dutchman roared back to win the next two legs and set up the decider, before missing bull for a 167, as the Welshman hit 46 for an 11 dart break to win a topsy turvy contest.

What else happened?

Despite losing to Clayton in the semi final, van Veen picked up two points to keep his hopes alive of reaching Finals Night at The O2, as he defeated Gerwyn Price 6-4 in the opening quarter final.

The first four legs all went against the darts, but after The Giant broke in leg five with a 14 darter, he held three further times despite pressure from The Iceman, to secure his first points in three weeks.

Van Gerwen is still four points clear of his Dutch compatriot in fourth place, after he defeated Josh Rock 6-3 in the third quarter final.

MvG hit five 180s against Rocky to stop his opponent winning a fifth straight quarter final in a row. He went 3-0 up in the match, and despite a glimmer of a fightback from Rock, the seven time champion comfortably closed out the game with a 14 dart break of throw.

The 2026 Premier League Darts continues next Thursday night, as the P&J Live in Aberdeen plays host to night 13.
