London is calling for Jonny Clayton after his fourth Premier League win and he stops Luke Littler again

Jonny Clayton continued his commanding run in the BetMGM Premier League by securing back-to-back nightly victories, defeating Luke Littler 6-4 in the Night Eleven final in Rotterdam.

The Welshman’s fourth nightly win in just eleven weeks further strengthened his grip at the top of the table, extending his lead to six points after another superb showing at Rotterdam Ahoy. Clayton now sits on 29 points, putting himself in a commanding position in the race for the Play-Offs.

His route to the title was anything but straightforward, beginning with an impressive 6-2 victory over home favourite Michael van Gerwen. Clayton produced one of the standout moments of the night with a brilliant 170 checkout to seal the win.

He then faced Josh Rock in the semi-finals, where he was pushed all the way. Despite Rock firing in seven 180s, Clayton held firm and edged a last-leg decider to reach his fifth final of the campaign.

In the final, Littler made the stronger start, opening with an 11-darter before breaking throw to move 2-0 ahead. However, Clayton responded in typical fashion, reeling off three consecutive legs to seize control and shift the momentum.

The match remained finely balanced, but a crucial moment arrived when Clayton pinned a 78 checkout with Littler waiting on a finish to move within one leg of victory. Littler kept himself in contention with a 15-dart hold, but missed opportunities ultimately proved costly.

Clayton capitalised, taking out tops to seal a 6-4 victory and complete another memorable night.

“I would have taken one win, so to have four and be top of the table, happy days,” said Clayton, who now holds a significant cushion over the chasing pack.

“You have to take your chance and I’ve taken them again tonight and that’s all that counts.

“I had to do something special because it’s my 20th anniversary today and I did forget!

“I watched last week’s game against Michael and it hurt a little bit when someone said I was favourite to finish bottom.

“That really hurt. It annoyed me a bit to be honest. It’s going good for myself now and I’ve got a massive smile on my face.”

Despite defeat, Littler strengthened his own Play-Off hopes by reaching his fourth final in seven weeks. The world number one advanced with victories over Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries.

He began his night with an impressive win over Price in a hostile atmosphere, producing two 124 finishes—one on the bullseye—to secure his fifth consecutive victory over the Welshman in this year’s competition.

Littler then came through another dramatic contest against Humphries, edging a third successive last-leg decider between the pair, despite the defending champion averaging over 103 and threatening a comeback from 5-2 down.

Elsewhere, Humphries had earlier opened his campaign in Rotterdam with a 6-2 win over Gian van Veen, registering another ton-plus average to snap a four-match losing streak. That result saw him move above Van Veen into fifth place, although he remains three points adrift of Van Gerwen in fourth.

Rock continued his recent resurgence with a fourth straight quarter-final victory, cruising to a 6-1 win over Stephen Bunting. The Northern Irishman averaged 102.55 and converted half of his doubles to keep his Play-Off ambitions alive.

Attention now turns to next week’s event in Liverpool, where the race for the top four positions will intensify further.

Bunting will take on Clayton on home soil as he looks to claim his first nightly win since Night Four, while Humphries and Littler renew their growing rivalry in another high-profile clash.

Van Veen faces Price in the opening quarter-final, coinciding with the Dutchman’s birthday, and Van Gerwen will aim to solidify his Play-Off position when he meets Rock in what promises to be another pivotal encounter.
