Despite winning the first leg of the match, Mason would lose the next two consecutively. Wolfie leveled the match with a magnificent 155 in leg two before a straightforward 24 following the flawless 137 set-up shot in the previous visit.

After winning the opening leg of set three, he would lose the following two, subsequently losing his first and only set of the match.

However, this didn’t disrupt the Scotsman, as he Scotty Dog failed to generate the much needed momentum he needed. He would once more concede four successive legs and two successive sets.

Meaning tipped favourite Henderson would earn his place in the next round of the World Seniors Masters.

 

Outstanding O’Shea prevails

After a astonishing performance, the Silverback defeated Richie Howson, the former World Senior Darts Tournament Open Series Champion, in the first round. Tony O’Shea won the first set after the traded legs in the opening set. The first three legs were all 17 darters.

After the Owl missed many chances on the outer ring, O’Shea claimed both legs in set two. But shortly after, he would get into a rhythm and cut the deficit from two to one.

Then, in set four, Howson would win both legs and draw the match once. He got off to the ideal start in set five pinning an inch perfect 143 out-shot, before losing the next four legs and succumbing to defeat.

Meaning, O’Shea would claim the final place in the next World Seniors Masters round, surpassing the in-form Richie Howson.
