Luke Littler produced a comeback for the ages in the Dublin final of the 2026 Premier League Darts.

The world number one and World Champion was 5-0 down to Gerwyn Price in the showpiece game, but survived five match darts from The Iceman to get his second nightly win of the season on the board.

It means that Littler is now just three points off Jonny Clayton at the top of the table, and it’s his second nightly win in three weeks, after defeating The Ferret in the Cardiff final.

Price fails to take chances against Littler again

The pair had met for each of the last two weeks in the 2026 Premier League Darts before tonight’s final, with The Nuke coming out on top in both of them. Much like their World Grand Prix quarter final epic in October, and their Masters semi final in February, Price did not take his chances, as he lost to Littler for the 13th time in 14 matches, and the third straight week in this event.

Price held in the first leg, despite Littler missing the bull for a Big Fish 170 outshot, before breaking to go 2-0 up. 16 darts later, The Iceman held, before pinging 67 in the fourth leg to move 4-0 in front.

The 2021 World Champion then produced a 17 dart hold to move one away, but Littler, who’d only had one dart at double the previous five legs, avoided a clean sweep, pinging tops to get on the board.

Price then missed three match darts in leg seven, allowing The Nuke to find tops for his second straight leg. 16 darts later, the back to back World Champion held to make it 5-3, before hitting double eight to get the game back on throw, after The Iceman missed yet another match dart.

The Welshman missed another match dart in leg 10, and Littler cleaned up 25 to send the game into a decider, where he hit an 81 outshot for a 12 dart break of throw to complete the remarkable comeback.

Littler started the night with an outstanding game against Stephen Bunting in the quarter finals. He hit a 105.07 average and four 180s against The Bullet, as well as ending the match 6/10 on the checkouts, as he came through 6-3.

The Nuke then defeated Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the first semi final, in a game which had everything. Both managed to hit a stunning 170 checkout, and both broke each other’s throw two times during the contest. However, van Gerwen missed three match darts across the ninth and final legs of the match, allowing Littler to take out double five and get over the line.

Price produced a stunning 103.66 average in his quarter final against Josh Rock, as The Iceman produced the second 6-0 clean sweep of the event this year. It means debutant Rock is still pointless after seven weeks of the tournament.

The former World Champion then produced arguably his most complete performance of the tournament so far, as he dismantled Luke Humphries 6-1 with an astonishing 109.04 average, hitting five 180s and finishing 6/9 on the outer ring, in a match where Cool Hand had zero answers.

What else happened?

Despite missing out on a place in the final, both Humphries and van Gerwen picked up more points in the 2026 Premier League Darts.

The defending Premier League champion became the first person to beat Jonny Clayton in a quarter final this year, as he hit a 103.44 average and three 180s to defeat the table topper 6-3.

Van Gerwen picked up two points in a walkover victory over fellow Dutchman Gian van Veen, who had to withdraw from the night’s action after being diagnosed with kidney stones. The seven time former champion is just one point outside the top four.

The 2026 Premier League Darts reaches the halfway point in the league phase next week, as the travelling roadshow moves onto the Uber Arena, Berlin.
