Premier League Darts defenging champion claimed his first ngiht win of the 2025 campaign. The Nuke sealed victory with a tense 6-5 win over rival Luke Humphries

Littler denied the World number one back to back victories in a thrilling final which included a spectacular 170 checkout from Littler in the third leg. At one point Littler looked like he was racing to the finish line, but a couple of missed doubles from Littler allowed Humphries to levedl the game up at 4-4. The pair then exchanged breaks of throw before Littler was able to hold his throw in the deciding leg to collect 5 points and a £10,000 win bonus.

Littler started the evening with a staggering comeback in his quarter-final. The Nuke trailed Rob Cross 5-1 in the openeng game of this week’s premier league darts and managed to rattle off 5 legs on the spin for a 6-5 victory. He carried this explosion of form through to the semi-finals where he overcame a game Michal Van Gerwen with an average over 104.

Humphries was eaually impressive in the earlier rounds having found himself 4-2 behind against Chris Dobey in the quarter-finals and Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals, Cool Hand was able to shift gears to secure a second final in a row. The Wold number one did have to deal with an unusual problem in the final; Humphries had picked up a cut on one of the fingers of his throwing hand prior to the final. Whilst the issue didn’t seem to have too much of an affect on his performance, the work number one looked frustrated at times and regular trips to his table to wipe off the blood wouldn’t have aided his rhythm.

Two Still Pointless in the 2025 Premier League Darts

Just two players now remain “pointless”, Stephen Bunting and Nathan Aspinall both will have hoped to build on first round losses in Belfast in the opening reound of this years premier league darts but Michael Van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price respectively handed back to back losses to The Bullet and The Asp. Both will head into next weeks games, Bunting playing Luke Humpries and Aspinall playing Rob Cross feeling that the must win. Neither will want to be propping up the table with the gap to qualification spots already widening.
