The 2020 BetVictor World Cup of Darts draw has taken place.

The event will take place at the SalzburgArena in Austria from Friday 6 November to Sunday 8 November. The event was moved last week from Graz.

Number one seeds England will face the Philippines in round one for the second straight year, while last year’s winners Scotland will take on Japan. Scotland will not have Peter Wright or Gary Anderson playing for them, after the pair withdrew from the event due to travel concerns.

Elsewhere, second seed Wales are in a tough section of the World Cup of Darts draw. They will face Russia in round one, and would play the winner of the Japan v Scotland game in round two.

Another brilliant section sees the Republic of Ireland, last year’s runners up, take on Australia in round one. The winner of that game would face the winner of another excellent first round tie, as Poland take on South Africa. Whoever wins that second round game, would face the winners of the Wales/Russia/Japan/Scotland section in the quarter finals.

The Netherlands pairing of Michael van Gerwen and Danny Noppert will start their campaign against Brazil, and would face the winner of Italy v Spain should they progress. Other stand out first round ties include the host nation Austria taking on the USA, and Belgium playing the Czech Republic.
