The 2024 Nordic Darts Masters take place this weekend in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Following on from last week’s event in New York where Rob Cross defeated Gerwyn Price in a last leg decider, the next World Series event takes place just a few days later.

Here’s what to expect as darts goes back to Scandanavia.

Who are the PDC representatives?

In the previous World Series events in Bahrain, Den Bosch and at Madison Square Garden, the 2024 Premier League players have been the eight selected to represent the PDC.

However, Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen are not playing this weekend. Littler will be replaced by UK Open champion Dimitri van den Bergh, while Masters winner Stephen Bunting will step in for van Gerwen.

Who are the Nordic and Baltic representatives?

As with all the World Series events, eight players local to the region will face the PDC representatives in the first round. For the Nordic Darts Masters, they are:

  • Madars Razma
  • Dennis Nilsson
  • Paavo Myller
  • Marko Kantele
  • Jeffrey de Graaf
  • Daniel Larsson
  • Benjamin Drue Reus
  • Johan Engstrom

What’s the draw and format for the Nordic Darts Masters?

The eight PDC representatives play one of the Nordic and Baltic representatives on day one of the event. The draw is as follows:

(1) Gerwyn Price v Madars Razma

Dimitri Van den Bergh v Dennis Nilsson

(4) Michael Smith v Paavo Myller

Nathan Aspinall v Marko Kantele

(2) Rob Cross v Jeffrey de Graaf

Stephen Bunting v Daniel Larsson

(3) Luke Humphries v Benjamin Drue Reus

Peter Wright v Johan Engstrom

Each game is best of 11 legs.

If the Nordic and Baltic representative wins, they effectively take the place of the PDC representative in the draw.

On day two, the eight players remaining will play in quarter finals, semi finals and the final.

The quarter finals are still best of 11 legs, the semi finals are best of 13 legs, while the final is best of 15 legs.

All of this counts towards points on the World Series Order of Merit, which will help determine the eight players who qualify as seeds for the 2024 World Series of Darts Finals in September.
