WDF announce Winmau as Masters sponsor and Prize Money confirmed 

After months of waiting the WDF have released the prize money breakdown for the 2022 Winmau World Masters. A prize fund of over €36.000 has been announced over the 4 categories (Men, Women, Boys, Girls) with the men’s winner receiving € 6,000 and women € 3,000. 

This is a substantial decrease in prize money from the last World Masters in 2019 when John O’Shea and Lisa Ashton took home £19,000 and £10,500 respectively. 

Winmau have also been confirmed as the title sponsor once again for the longest-running major in darts. 

WDF President Bill Hatter was understandably pleased: “Winmau have been sponsors of the World Masters since 1975. It was important for the WDF and Winmau to keep that relationship in place, and we look forward to enjoying a fantastic tournament”.

Winmau Marketing Director, Simon Hall said “It’s great to see the oldest major in darts back up and running. We’ve backed the tournament for decades and are more than pleased to continue supporting as the WDF look to create names of the future in darts”.
