The Premier League of Darts travel to Dublin for Night 8, where the 8 players will play at the 3Arena in the Irish capital.

Luke Humphries is the main man in form thanks to winning the previous two nights, whereas Peter Wright got points on the board for the first time this competition as he defeated Gerwyn Price in a last leg decider.

We saw a fantastic clash between Michael Van Gerwen and Luke Littler in the quarter-finals, with both averaging 110+ and Littler’s firepower on trebling enabling him to dominate 6-2.

Aspinall has seen an upturn in form with another final appearance after his win in Exeter to put himself right in the mix for play-off positions.

Thursday 21st – Quarter-Final Draw

Luke Humphries vs Peter Wright

Nathan Aspinall vs Rob Cross

Michael Van Gerwen vs Gerwyn Price

Luke Littler vs Michael Smith

Luke Humphries vs Peter Wright

This encounter will kick off the night and with Wright slowly finding his form, it could be a close one. Humphries will of course be the man to beat, but Wright will be looking for revenge as in Nottingham last time round Humphries dominated in a 6-1 win with a 106 average.

Wright’s game has definitely improved after a difficult spell, and with a win last week in a tight affair with Price, he almost certainly could cause an upset tonight. He must have gained a lot more confidence from that win and we should see a close game. Humphries is playing at a ridiculous level and isn’t top of the league for no reason.

Nathan Aspinall vs Rob Cross

This game is arguably the most important of the night. In a repeat of last weeks clash, Aspinall won and went on to reach the final and is now level on points with Cross in the table. Whoever wins this one will have the opportunity to build a gap in the qualification play-off spots.

Their matchup last week was a very tight affair and the expectation would be the same here. Aspinall has found his form from Exeter onwards with him winning the night and last week averaged 100+ in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Cross is still yet to win a night and with his form at the moment the feeling you get is one will come sooner rather than later.

Michael Van Gerwen vs Gerwyn Price

After averaging 103 and losing in a last leg decider last week, Price will be raring to go for this matchup with Michael Van Gerwen. Having won matches on only two evenings thus far, he needs to find form fast to catch up to those in the play-off race.

Despite the Dutchman not picking up a win in the last three weeks, he is still 2nd in the table and is fully in the mix to seal a play-off spot. He is displaying signs of an upturn in form after a difficult few weeks due to shoulder injury, but it is very likely these two will provide an excellent match.

Luke Littler vs Michael Smith

Smith is placed 6th in the table and is under the radar this campaign. He is only a couple points off the play-offs, with Littler 3 points ahead of him and he is placed 3rd. It is very tight and it is a must win for Smith.

While Littler has been more consistent, winning at least one game every night bar one, Smith has only been able to match his Night.1 success with a final in Night 6 and semi-finals in Night 2.
