Who’s involved in the European Championship Darts?

This year, the PDC staged 13 events in Europe, known as the Euro Tour.

At the end of that event, the top 32 players on the European Tour Order of Merit qualified for this event.

What’s the format?

The format is straight knockout. In round one, the number 1 seed will play the number 32 seed, number 2 will play 31, and so on.

16 players will move onto round two, followed by eight in the quarter finals, four in the semis and then the last two players will meet in the final for the right to be crowned European champion.

The match lengths are:

  • Round One – first to 6 legs
  • Round Two – first to 10 legs
  • Quarter Finals – first to 10 legs
  • Semi Finals – first to 11 legs
  • Final – first to 11 legs
