The 2024 New Zealand Darts Masters takes place this weekend at the GLOBOX Arena in Hamilton.

Last weekend, Gerwyn Price won his second World Series of Darts title of the year, beating Luke Littler in the final in Wollongong, Australia.

This is the last regular World Series event of 2024, as players bid to improve their seeding ahead of the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam next month.

Who are the PDC representatives?

The same eight players who represented the PDC last week in Australia head to Hamilton this week, including last year’s champion Rob Cross.

They are:

  • Luke Littler
  • Gerwyn Price
  • Rob Cross
  • Luke Humphries
  • Michael Smith
  • Dimitri Van den Bergh
  • Peter Wright
  • Damon Heta

Who are they playing?

As with all the World Series events, eight players local to the region will face the PDC representatives in the first round. For the New Zealand Darts Darts Masters, they’ll take on players from the Oceanic region. They are:

  • Jonny Tata
  • Mark Cleaver
  • Kayden Milne
  • Jeremy Fagg
  • Ben Robb
  • Daniel Snookes
  • Haupai Puha
  • Simon Whitlock

What’s the draw and format for the New Zealand Darts Masters?

The eight PDC representatives play one of the Oceanic representatives on day one of the event. The draw is as follows:

(1) Luke Littler v Jonny Tata

Dimitri Van den Bergh v Mark Cleaver

(4) Luke Humphries v Kayden Milne

Michael Smith v Jeremy Fagg

(2) Gerwyn Price v Ben Robb

Peter Wright v Daniel Snookes

(3) Rob Cross v Haupai Puha

Damon Heta v Simon Whitlock

Each game is best of 11 legs.

If the Oceanic representative wins, they effectively take the place of the PDC representative in the draw.

On day two, the eight players remaining will play in quarter finals, semi finals and the final.

The quarter finals are still best of 11 legs, the semi finals are best of 13 legs, while the final is best of 15 legs.

All of this counts towards points on the World Series Order of Merit, which will help determine the eight players who qualify as seeds for the 2024 World Series of Darts Finals in September.
