JenningsBet World Seniors Darts Championship broadcast partner announced
The JenningsBet World Seniors Darts Championship will be broadcast live in the UK on the BBC.
The event, which will take place at the Circus Tavern between 3-6 February 2022, will be shown live on the corporation’s digital platforms.
Every game of the event will be shown live on the BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website, and app.
In addition, it’s been confirmed that the 16 time World Champion, Phil “The Power” Taylor will play his first round on Friday 4 February.
Return of darts to the BBC
The longtime home of the BDO World Darts Championship at the Lakeside, the BBC stopped covering the event in 2015.
This is because they then screened the PDC Champions League of Darts, from 2016-2019 before the tournament was dropped and they did not renew their contract.
Now, for the first time in three years, darts will be free-to-air on the BBC.
Can I still get tickets?
Yes. Tickets are still available for the tournament.
You can view ticket prices here.
Who’s involved?
The line up for the first event is headlined by 16 time Champion of the World, Phil “The Power” Taylor.
22 players have been invited, while two more players will qualify for the event on the weekend of the 13th and 14th November 2021.
